In a significant move that promises to enhance affordable travel options for passengers across the United States, Allegiant Air has announced twelve new routes to their growing network. To much sunrise, some of the new routes will operate out of the busier Orlando International Airport (MCO) compared to Allegiant Air’s secondary airport, Orlando Sanford (SFB).
New Routes And Airports For Allegiant
Allegiant Air is primarily focusing on connecting secondary airports to larger leisure destinations. Since Allegiants inception, the ultra low cost carrier has focused on secondary airports such as Orlando Sanford instead of Orlando International airport or Chicago Rockford instead of Chicago O Hare and Midway. These secondary airports provide significantly less cost for the airline which in turn can be passed down to the customer. Surprisingly, Allegiant is going away from this model in some markets like Orlando. Allegiant will begin operating some routes out of Orlando International Airportย (MCO).
