A Growing Aircraft Segment
The 100 to 130 seat market is dominated by the Airbus A220 family followed by Embraer E2 family of aircraft. The Embraer E2 family is based off of the successful 70-130 seat e-jet aircraft. The E190-E2 and E195-E2 aircraft feature improved fuel burn, noise reduction, a new wing, engines and cabin compared to the outgoing e-jet aircraft. Embraer is seeing growing orders for the E2 aircraft from operators across the globe including Air Pease, Helvetic Airways, KLM , Scoot, Porter and TUI. While no routes have been announced for Luxair’s E195-E2s expect the fuel efficient jets to traverse the European skies starting 2025.
