Japan Airlines has unveiled their new international cabin on their new Airbus A350-1000 long haul aircraft. The new product will serve as the flagship international product for the airline. The new product will initially be offered on Japan Airlines A350-1000 route from Tokyo Haneda to New York JFK late November 2023. Each cabin class will have exciting amenities to offer, lets dive in.
A Reimagined First Class
A reimagined First Class product will be offered on Japan Airlines A350-1000 aircraft. There will be six enclosed suites featuring a 62 inch door that closes off the space. A fully reclining seat will offer a sofa mode and can quickly convert into a single or double bed. Plentiful storage has been incorporated into the new design. One of the most innovative features of the seat is the headrest speakers. Unheard of in aircraft before, the speakers will be built right into the headrests offering an unparalleled inflight entertainment experience.
A Larger Business Class Cabin
Business class capacity is being increased to 54 total seats on the A350-1000. As with First Class, business class seats will feature a fully enclosed lie flat seat. Overhead bins have are exclusively placed on the window side of the cabin to help create a more open atmosphere. Suites offer a generous 51 inches of seat pitch. Headrests will also adapt built in speakers.
Innovative Premium Economy Seats
New Premium Economy Seats will have large partitions in-between the seats to better improve privacy. For the first time ever, the Premium Economy Seats will have electric powered reclining. An electric leg rest can be adjusted horizontally to best fit the passengers desired height. Seats feature 42 inches of seat pitch and a 16 inch inflight entertainment screen.
New Economy Class Seats
A new seat design will be incorporated into economy class. Seats will offer 33-34 inches of seat pitch and 18 inches of seat width. Each seatback will have 3-inch 4K screen with Bluetooth headphone connectivity. Starting in 2024 passengers will have the opportunity to pre select their favorite music and movie playlists in advance. Once onboard, the playlist will be loaded right into the inflight entertainment system. These welcome additions will further enhance the lucrative Japan to United States market.
