As the winter travel season is fast approaching, Virgin Atlantic is rolling out new meal and beverage options just in time for the cozy winter weather. Launching October 4, 2023 there will be new food and beverage offerings in all cabins and for the first time, Economy Delight passengers can pre order their meals. The new meals will be more vegan and vegetarian friendly.
New Snack Beverage Options
A large focus will be placed on healthy wellbeing drinks. New wellbeing drinks will include Real sparkling tea, Perfect Ted matcha and Lo Bros kombucha. Snacks across all cabins have been revamped including Walkerโs shortbread fingers, vanilla Oreos, Cadbury mini fingers, and Penn State sour cream and chive pretzels. Passangers in Upper Class and Prenium can enjoy Savoursmiths bubbly and serrano chilli crisps, Yumma peach flavored gummy sweets, Creative Nature blueberry muffin bar, Love Raw Vegan caramelized biscuit bar, and much more.
New Upper Class Meals
Upper Class cabin passengers can enjoy a wide variety of new meals to choose from. New selections include stilton and walnut salad with bacon and date relish, grilled barbecue chicken with corn mac and cheese, and lobster, clam and calamari paella with saffron and paprika rice. More vegetarian and plant based meals have been added including beetroot tartare with candy beets, vegan Dijonnaise, toasted fava beans, and tarragon and sweetie drops, creamy shitake mushroom soup, and four cheese agnolotti pasta as well as kale and vegetarian parm. A welcome addition to the new meals is the al la carte build your own breakfast. Upper Class passengers can build their own breakfast with items such as yogurt, fresh fruit and pastries.
Premium Cabin Meals
Premium cabin passengers have more meal choices at their disposal including new options like chicken lasagna, sage and thyme pork stew, and panko-coated tofu with katsu vegetable curry. There will also be a British cheese plate featuring vintage cheddar fig jelly and grapes with olive oil and crackers.
Better Meal Flexibility In Economy Cabin
Virgin Atlantic is bringing a welcome perk to their Economy product. It will now be possible to pre order entrees when booking an Economy Delight ticket. Previously this was only available to Premium and Upper Class passengers. New meals will consist of a chicken, leek and tarragon casserole, a creamy spinach and butternut pasta, complemented by Cathedral City cheddar and crackers, and a Pots & Co plant-based chocolate pot. These additions will enhance an already competitive onboard product in all classes.
