JetBlue Airways is making it easier for passengers traveling as a family to sit together. JetBlue is adjusting their family seating policy calling the updated policy the Family Seating Guarantee. Similar to what United Airlines and Frontier Airlines adapted to their policies, JetBlue’s Family Seating Guarantee ensures that children under the age of 13 sit next to an adult traveling with them on the same reservation. Computer systems will be able to proactively identify reservations with children and adults traveling together who do not have prior seating assignments. The system will ensure the child is assigned a seat next to an accompanying adult at no cost to the passenger. Those booked in Blue Basic (basic economy) will be included in the Family Seating Guarantee. JetBlue’s full family seating policy can be found here.
